Nisa Helpline offers free, non-judgmental, confidential, anonymous, culturally and spiritually sensitive peer to peer counselling to women and girls 14 and up. Our service is available 7 days a week, from 8am -12am (EST) everyday!
We offer support in English, French, Arabic, Urdu and Somali. No appointment is needed for this service. Please dial 1-888-315-NISA (6472) and you will be connected to our Peer counsellors.
Who does Nisa Helpline assist?
Nisa Helpline supports women and girls 14 and up. Males will be referred to other helplines more appropriate for their needs.

How can talking to a peer counsellor help?
Our trained Peer counsellors prioritize creating a safe, empathetic and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions. Our peer counsellors are trauma informed, gently guiding you to help you reflect on your experiences and identify your strengths and resilience. They empower you to make informed choices, promoting a sense of control and agency. If necessary, they may share resources and direct you towards other services both internal and external.

Your privacy and security are of the utmost importance to us. The helpline's peer counselling service is anonymous and confidential. Any relevant data collected is used for training and quality purposes within Nisa Foundation. This data is encrypted and stored securely. Your information will not be shared publicly or with any third-party apps.
How much does it cost?
The Helpline is completely free.
