A tribute to a woman who lived a life full of love, compassion and service to others.

Samina’s beautiful smile lit up the world and touched the hearts of everyone she met. It was a smile that saw through the challenges and embraced the possibilities through hope, courage aand faith. Samina dedicated her life to helping those in need, particularly low-income families and at-risk children and youth. Her nine-year career in the non-profit and human services sector left a positive, lasting impact on the lives of countless individuals, especially those she worked with at Nisa Homes. 
 
On September 8th, 2022, Samina Mateen Zubairi returned to her Creator after a courageous battle with cancer. We pray that Allah accepts her as a Shaheed.
 
To honour her memory and carry on her legacy, Samina Zubairi’s family has partnered with Nisa Homes to create a sadaqah jarriyah project that will provide women with access to education and training, breaking down financial barriers and empowering them to reintegrate into their communities. Samina’s character, passion and desire to positively impact her community lives on through this project and will continue to be a source of hope for all.
